The 2010 A-AA Austrian Studies Scholarship Fund


The Austro-American Association of Boston is offering a scholarship of $1500. From all the applications received by April 1, 2010, the scholarship committee will chose a winner who best fulfills the requirements outlined below. An in-person interview may be requested.
The focus of the work must be Austrian culture. Project areas may include:
  • History
  • Literature
  • Art
  • Architecture
  • Folk Customs
  • Music
  • Contemporary Life.
All undergraduate, graduate students, and junior faculty at New England colleges and Universities are eligible to apply. There is no application form - applicants should submit the following information:
  • a detailed project proposal, including the reason for selecting it
  • curriculum vitae
  • two confidential letters of support from faculty members who know the applicant well and can comment on the feasibility of the project.
The application deadline for the 2010 scholarship is April 1, 2010

The winner must be willing to offer a presentation of the project at an event of the Austro-American Association.
